The Films of DECO DAWSON
 
 
Deco Dawson is an independent filmmaker and editor born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba though he presently divides his time between Winnipeg, Detroit and Paris.   In a relatively short period of 8 years, Dawson has completed 10 short films which have screened around the world and have garnered much international acclaim and awards for Dawson and his body of independent work.
 
From 2000-2003 Dawson collaborated with fellow Winnipeg cult-filmmaker Guy Maddin, acting as Editor and Co-Cinematographer of such projects as; The Heart of the World, Fancy Fancy Being Rich and the feature film Dracula: pages from a virgin’s diary, which Dawson also served as associate co-director.
 
Deco Dawson is presently completing Post-Production on several new full projects, a feature film script as well as various commissioned and contracted work.
